The DOBAG project is still alive although the annual production is a mere fraction of that of its peak in the 1990's. Many alternative, more lucrative sources for income in dairy produce and agriculture are now available to the villagers in preference to the time-consuming weaving. As older weavers retire very few young women join and so the future for the project is uncertain. After our successful sale in the run-up to the closure of the retail outlet most DOBAGs sold so the current stock is very small - the runner section contains a few DOBAG runners. In our future life as dealers and consultants by appointment we will only focus on Antique pieces and DOBAGs. The current stock includes some beautiful rugs and carpets of categories that we will discontinue and these lots have been reduced substantially to sell. Enjoy the bargains.
In our new, smaller gallery we stock carefully chosen Old and Antique runners in excellent condition as well as small numbers of DOBAG runners and some excellent newly made runners from Iran. The pieces are arranged in the order of size, starting with the shortest and getting longer as you scroll down. In preparation for our move at end of June, all items are currently reduced for space reasons, offering you a rare opportunity to get a bargain.
